Well done. I find the idea of enslaved minds like this quite repugnant. I don’t have reliable or clear intuitions about where we should draw the line, though. The moral landscape of the next 100 years is going to be a strange one.
Interesting Mark. You posit that humans would feel sorry for sentient robots and so would try to give them rights and free them as if they’re like us. Personally I suspect humanity would not consider them like us and so would accept that they’ve been programmed to enjoy being servants.
